The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Professional Association is sponsoring a “Meet the Candidates” night at Ellms Farm, located at 468 Charlton Rd. in Ballston Lake, on October 7 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be moderated by the League of Women Voters and should prove to be an informative evening. It can be difficult to evaluate candidates from afar so please come down and join us.

Join us for the 2009 campaign kickoff at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa!

Doors open at 4 p.m. with festivities running from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 before September 1 and $20 at the door. Children under 10 are FREE!

Come down for a night of fun with friends and neighbors. Bring the kids for face painting, balloon animals and the Fun-N-Jump. Enjoy a Brooks BBQ dinner and a fireworks display after dark.

Ballston GOP Announces 2009 Slate!

The Town of Ballston Republican Party is proud to announce their slate of candidates for 2009!

Challenging the first-term Democrat incumbent is Peter Connors. Pete is is a part-time court attendant for the state Unified Court System in the 4th Judicial District and a former Mechanicville GOP city chairman. The Republican ticket running to fill two Town Board openings is composed of incumbent Mary Beth Hynes and John Antoski. Mary Beth has a law office in Ballston Spa while John serves as the coordinator of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District’s social studies department.

Running unopposed are incumbent Republicans Town Highway Superintendent Joseph Whalen and Tax Collector Anne Hogue.
