The first step to vote by absentee ballot is to get an application for an absentee ballot.  This can be done by picking one up at the Board of Elections located in the County Office Buildings on 50 West High Street, in the Village of Ballston Spa between the hours of 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday; or by calling the Board of Elections, at 885-2249, and ask to have one mailed to you; or downloading one at http://www.saratogacountyny.gov/upload/absenteeballot.pdf.

The second step is to fill out the application and get it to the Board of Elections.  It may be delivered in person or mailed.  If delivered in person it must be received by October 27^th for the General Election.  If mailed it must be postmarked by these dates.  The absentee ballot will be mailed to the applicant.

The third and last step is to fill out the absentee ballot and get it to the Board of Elections.  It may be delivered in person or mailed.  If delivered in person it must be received by November 2^nd for the General Election.  If mailed it must be postmarked by these dates.  The Post Office has up to seven (7) days after these dates to get the absentee ballot to the Board of Elections, after that no absentee ballots will be accepted.

Any person who is expected to be out of town may vote an absentee ballot.  This includes members of the military, family members on vacation or away on business, college students attending college out of the area.

Please support our candidates by displaying a lawn sign in your front yard.  Let your friends and neighbors know that you appreciate the hard work and dedication of your local Republican Party, the party responsible for keeping Ballston tax-free!  Saratoga can boast of the lowest per capita tax burden in the Empire State thanks to your Town and County Republican leadership.  That’s not just fiscal conservatism, that’s good government.

Join us for the 2009 campaign kickoff at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa!

Doors open at 4 p.m. with festivities running from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $15 before September 1 and $20 at the door.  Children under 10 are FREE!
